“Generation M” is the largest free educational platform in the Russian Federation for the development of children's creativity, where courses on technologically advanced modern hobbies are presented. The teachers are experts from the IT and creative industries and famous artists.

About 1/3 of children aged 15-18 years spend almost all their free time on the Internet (LK, 2023).

88% of children 7-10 years old, and 98% of children over 10 years old, have their own device to access the Internet, while parents do not control the security of the content they consume.

Lack of relevant practical information about the prospects for using modern technologies to meet the needs for training, development and self-realization, despite the fact that the digital environment is a natural tool and learning channel for the alpha generation.

Project goals and objectives

Equal access to development tools for children throughout the country using the capabilities of the MTS ecosystem. “Generation M” allows you to gain the first practical experience of interacting with digital technologies in a creative environment: work with real problems, try yourself in popular creative professions.

Introduction of innovative technologies into charity, instilling a culture of philanthropy from an early age. The project combines the idea of ​​education and development of children from Russian regions and charitable mechanics. MTS converts all digital activities of project participants into money for the treatment of seriously ill children.

Activities within the project

Based on the results of the 2022-2023 season:

A free MTS IT school for children has been opened. Training takes place online;

An online course on crypto art for preschoolers was launched along with the animated series “Smeshariki”;

A free songwriting training program has been opened, where classes are taught by MTS Label artists;

A course for children on 3D modeling in the field of Digital Fashion has been opened;

A special section on the Generation M platform has been opened for teachers and parents on safe behavior on the Internet. The audience will learn about the potential risks when using the Internet, ways to protect against online threats and useful network opportunities for education, development, communication and leisure;

A digital educational program on the conservation of rare animal species was launched jointly with the Moscow Zoo;

An all-Russian online quiz on ecology was held with the characters of the animated series “Fixies”, in which a team of third-graders from Chelyabinsk won;

2,500 applicants from all over the country completed the first round of admissions consultations at GITIS online on the MTS Link online communications platform. Based on the selection results, 97 applicants were invited to the final tests in Moscow;

Together with the Alliance for the Protection of Children in the Digital Environment, we launched a free online school of animation and cartooning on Telegram and held an all-Russian competition to create an animated mascot

800 winners from 69 regions of Russia;

More than 150 offline events reaching over 300,000 people;

190 SMM campaigns with a total coverage of 32,000,000 views;

The total digital activity of project participants is equivalent to 23 million actions, which MTS converted into real money and sent to partner funds for the treatment of 82 children;

The project is among the best global practices that contribute to the SDGs and are recommended by the UN for implementation in various countries.
