Atlas of the ESG ecosystem: digital release

Playing the role of a sustainability navigator, the ESG Alliance strives to provide diverse stakeholders with an accessible way to navigate the national and global ESG landscape. The Alliance works to create cutting-edge products and services with the participation of leading practitioners and recognized experts in the ESG field. The Atlas is designed to most comprehensively analyze and systematize the entire national ESG infrastructure that exists today: its composition, main roles and categories of specific participants, their functionality and interconnectivity. 

The Atlas is designed for a wide range of stakeholders with varying levels of understanding of the sustainability agenda.The Atlas development was based on a crowdsourcing approach to collect information about each role. Leading Russian experts in the field of sustainable development and ESG participated in this process, and each section went through a double-validation. 

In August 2022 the ESG Alliance presented the Map of the ESG ecosystem, and in December 2022 - pilot section of the Atlas on non-financial reporting in a printed format. 

During 2023, a transition to the digital format was implemented, and the number of participants of the sustainable development landscape expanded significantly. Leading Russian professionals have been involved in work on describing these participants, their  activities, development trends and composition of organizations presenting this or that area. 

During the meeting we plan: 

• present a new model of the Atlas  - fully digital service (Ivan Topolya and Zebra Corporate Communications); 
• discuss the results of design and crystallization of an up-to-date understanding of the participants’ composition (Andrey Sharonov, Svetlana Bik, Victoria Blatova, Darya Grigorieva); 
• formulate assessment criteria for the platform and proposition for its further development (all participants).
